You have that backwards don’t you? Yes, all the innocent victims could be identified by race. That’s kind of the point.

And the idea that the foundation of the slave trade was the willingness of Africans to sell other Africans is so preposterous that I honestly don’t know whether to laugh or cry. Do you think the Africans who said, “Oh, no thank you, none of us want to be slaves,” were just given a pass?!

I swear, I’ll never understand what it is that gets some white people so defensive abut the slave trade, especially when you clearly know nothing about it. You just can’t resist an opportunity to cry “BuT bLaCk PeOpLe SoLd SlAvEs ToO!” as if any mention of historical fact is a personal attack on your “race”.

Did you see me attack white people when I mentioned the slave trade? Is there a single word I wrote that suggests I think all white people, past or present are complicit? Do you seriously think there’s some kind of parity between the number of black and white people complicit in the slave trade? Like, why do you feel the need to do this?
