😅 You say "even a Wikipedia article" as if Wikipedia is some infallible, authoritative source. However, aside from anarchy which is apolitical pretty much by definition, I'd agree with that list. Liberalism, socialism and communism are all inextricably tied to the political left (no, I'm taking a much broader view than Democrat/Republican). Just as authoritarianism and dictatorship are tied the political Right.
Of course, if we look at history, we see that these things can often lead to very similar looking places. But that's because at the heart of it all, are the same flawed, corruptible humans. The difference between the Left and the Right is really just how we arrive at these terrible places, and the counterbalance we can offer each other to curb our worst instincts.
Fundamentally, the political Left and Right need each other. I think the Democrats are so unpopular right now because they are focused on telling people what they should want instead of listening to what they do want and trying to provide it in ways that are consistent with Liberal values.
And let's be clear, the Republicans are unpopular too. If the Democrats can win the presidency against an incumbent, with a nominee with very obvious dementia, it shows that both parties are in deep trouble.
