You seem to be overlooking mixed race children here. We can be part of the same tribe even if our skin colour isn't the same. One day, when we're all a delightful shade of mocha, we'll need to find some other irrelevant thing to hate each other for.

As for the how, obviously I'm not gong to be able to answer that in a paragraph on an article. My article lays out a few of the many thngs that definitely are NOT paths to this brave new world, but some are treating as if they are.

But my quick thoughts include a refocusing of many racial issues as human issues. Let's talk about poverty instead of black poverty. Let's talk about police brutality and accountability instead of black police brutality. Let's talk about prison reform and hiring practices and barriers to entry. Let's talk about these things, not as favours we're doing for black people, but as work we're doing to make society better for everybody. Let's make the fight against oppression inclusive instead of something which people mentally check out of if they don't hear their specific marker (gender, race, sexuality) called.
