You speak about westerners as if you're not one. Is that the case? If so, is your part of the world free from any history of brutality? I suspect not.

If humanity goes extinct, so be it. But as we're not extinct yet, I think it's worth trying to address the various problems you mention, the root of which is, I think, a crisis in the way we think.

Selfishness, cruelty, tribalism, all of these are flaws of thinking that will lead to our doom, the doom of our planet, and the doom of countless more innocent species. As is apathy.
