You've just made my point for me though,, no? Yes, white women are the greatest beneficiaries of affirmative action. So tell me why affirmative action (at least as it currently is) is necessary to help minorities again? With black unemployment constantly at around twice the rate of white unemployment, with black wealth holding steady at around a tenth of white wealth, explain again how affirmative action is working.

The point I'm making is that discriminating by "race" (and sex, that's why white women have made such gains) has failed to help the people who most need help. It sounds as if we both want those disparities to be fixed. I'm just confused about why you think affirmative action is doing so.
