Yup. Sadly, in addition to the aforementioned grifting and attention seeking, I think this is just a symptom of the direction-brained mouth breathing that has overtaken so many people on pretty much every issue.

Nobody comes out of a war spotless. Never mind a World War. There is lot's of valid criticism to level at Churchill. But it doesn't change a single fact about Hitler.

I pray for the day when people can recognise that one person was/is flawed without automatically thinking they need to take the other person's side.
